Where are my documents???
So just when I think things are really rolling along nicely.......WHAM!!!! Something else happens. I was so pleasantly surprised when our new birth/marriage certificates from NJ got here really quickly. And being the crazy person that I am, trying to get this dossier completed in record time, I had them right back in the mail the next day, heading back up to Jersey to the Secretary of State for authentication. According to the website, it says it only takes five working days to get the papers on their way back to us. Excellent!!!
Yeah well, problem now is this little thing going on in Jersey with the budget deficit.......blah, blah, blah. Bottom line being, all state employees except for those who are absolutely necessary, are not working until this issue is resolved. Im quite sure this means the notary department in Trenton too. So what should've taken five days? Who knows now??? Wonderful.
So I assume that my envelope is just sitting in what I envision as being this huge heap of unattended to, mail. My papers that I need to get processed so I can get my little guy home! And were stuck in the middle of this disaster over a proposed tax hike!
Oh, please get this resolved quickly!!!
